**Great Bear Carbon Credit Corporation**

First Nations led the establishment of the Great Bear Rainforest Agreements with the government of British Columbia. The GBCC LP and GBCCC sit under the Great Bear Business Corporation (GBBC) which is a holding company wholly owned by a unique alliance of 7 First Nations on British Columbia's North and Central Coast and Haida Gwaii. The principal goal of this group is to restore land and marine ecosystems through an ecological, social, and economical sustainable resource management approach in the Central and North Coast and Haida Gwaii.

The GBCCC LP markets and sells carbon credits owned by the Nations. The Nations invest the carbon sales profit into stewardship and ecosystem-based management activities in their traditional territories.

**WHO YOU ARE**

YOU are committed to bringing awareness and build partnerships for the sales of carbon credits and the benefits they can provide to the First Nation members.

YOU will lead and ensure compliance with sales and marketing initiatives of the GBCC LP and GBCCC, in line with the Great Bear Rainforest Agreements.

YOU will plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day sales and marketing activities taking a proactive approach in seeking additional opportunities for carbon credit sales by developing communications tools and strategies, online presence, overseeing the website and attending carbon sector events in the marketplace.

YOU are responsible to professionally manage operational activities to coordinate activities to run the operations smoothly and effectively, learning and growing, making improvements as needed.

YOU will lead with passion, motivation, and in the spirit of togetherness to understand the importance of building trusting relationships and partnerships that support the strategy and initiatives of the GBCC LP and GBCCC. All with the support of teammates and colleagues.

**Position**:Sales & Operations Manager - Maternity Leave Replacement

**Reports to**: General Manager

**Location**:Hybrid, Vancouver Office

**Salary**:$76,500 - $90,000 per annum

**Start Date**:ASAP

**Term**:12 months with a possibility of extension

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**

The Sales & Operations Manager position is responsible for the following key functions and performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with direction of the General Manager.

**Sales and Marketing** - Represent the Great Bear Carbon Credit Corporation (GBCCC) and GBCC LP as manager of carbon credit sales and marketing.
- With specific regard to GBCC LP, Carbon Credit Corp business, responsible for negotiating offset purchase agreements with clients for voluntary and compliance sales.
- Manage and track progress on GBBC operational activities such as Annual General Meeting (AGM) and processing all payables, reporting to the General Manager as approvals are required.
- Review project reports, identify progress and challenges and submit to GM for discussion, preparing background information where necessary.
- Manage GBCCC and GBBC meetings including liaising with GBIS for continued support between entities, assisting with integration of any new organizations to GBBC, as needed.
- Maintain and manage inventory of carbon credits.
- Manage and market carbon credits sales on behalf of Kitselas Nation.
- Participate in the development of a strategic marketing and communications plan.
- Assisting in developing the Annual Report and Workplan for presentation to the Board for approval, together with the General Manager.

**Operational activities**
- Providing ongoing guidance to the Operations Coordinator in carrying out administrative duties for the business operations including resolving problems, preparing schedules, setting deadlines to ensure timely completion of projects/work.

**Communications**
