Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator - Bahen Rehabilitation Program uses advance practice skills to provide mentorship, education and ongoing clinical support to the Bahen Rehabilitation team. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily staffing, ensuring best practice patient care delivery and implementing quality initiatives in collaboration with the clinical teams and the Clinical Manager.
They will lead the team in implementing evidence based practices. They will collaborate with the manager/director regarding human resources responsibilities, including recruitment, point in time teaching and ongoing performance evaluation. They will liaise with members of the interprofessional team to ensure excellence in patient care through monitoring standards of care and patient outcomes. They will role model professional and organizational competencies.

**Qualifications**:

- Current registration in good standing with applicable Regulatory Healthcare Professional College preferred
- Undergraduate degree in a recognized health science discipline required
- Member of associated national and/or provincial associations preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in acute and/or outpatient rehabilitation care
- Recent experience in a leadership role within an interprofessional team
- Relevant knowledge of the various professional groups within this program
- Experience in patient care projects, process improvement strategies
- Demonstrates ability to communicate and work with all members of the interprofessional team
- Poses the ability to implement strategies that effectively facilitates change
- Demonstrates clinical decision making and organizational skills
- Demonstrates ability to resolve conflict(s)
- Demonstrates commitment to professional development
- Demonstrates ability to support the clinical team in a professional manner
- Demonstrates excellence in communication in both written and verbal
- Current knowledge of collective agreement and scheduling principles and practices
- Demonstrates leadership skills

Primary Responsibilities
- Supports changes in the delivery of services, which are recommended by legislative, governing and accrediting standards
- Works with the manager and staff scheduler to organize the human and material resources in the optimal quality, quantity, skill set, place and time
- Formulates and executes appropriate clinical priority setting based on current needs, activity, resources and safety
- Demonstrates clinical decision making that is efficient, effective, inclusive, ethical, legal, fair and transparent
- Supervises and directs an environment that meets biological, chemical, mechanical and physical safety standards
- Updates the Manager regularly regarding all human resource management
- Participates in internal investigations
- Participates in hiring and discipline of staff relating to patient care, human resources and issues arising
- Conducts annual and probationary reviews of staff in collaboration with the Manager
- Participates in strategies that are developed to incorporate the organization’s mission, values and goals and team commitments into department activities
- Participates in the strategies that are established by the clinical service team to achieve program specific goals and objectives
- Implements strategies that are developed to support the current budget
- Commits to a process/program of quality improvement
- Participates in development of annual program goals and works collaboratively with the manager for implementation, evaluation and reporting
- Ensures safe environment as per Occupational Health guidelines
- Ensures all equipment is functional and available
