**Position Description**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and self-motivated Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA) to join our dynamic clinical genetics research team. The Clinical Research Project Assistant will help coordinate a variety of ongoing clinical research studies in the area of genomic medicine. This includes coordinating participant recruitment, data collection, study administration, and organizing data entry and analysis. The CRPA will also assist in the preparation of study results, including presentations, progress reports, and manuscripts.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Contribute to preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Read and have a general knowledge of protocol and study measures.
- Conduct literature reviews and keep current with study literature.
- Assist PI with science review process.
- Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research.
- Assist PI in preparing REB submissions and coordinating revisions. Assist PI with annual approval process and amending protocols and consents as required.
- Develop and monitor timelines for studies.
- Assist with design of questionnaires and data collection instruments.
- Assist with database design. Ensure the quality of the database and supervise database cleaning.
- Recruitment of health professionals and patients into various studies
- Collection of data from participants by various methods including questionnaires, interviews and review of medical charts.
- Perform data entry and analysis including planning.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the studies.
- Attend relevant meetings or rounds in order to increase knowledge and understanding.
- Potentially help in the creation of a website to assist in knowledge translation of study results.
- Assist with design/development of communicationmaterials.
- Assist in training and orientation of new research staff.
- Prepare and submit purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.
- Maintain budget records.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Master's degree in Health Science, Statistics, Genetics, Epidemiology, Psychology, a health-related discipline (e.g. Medicine, Nursing, Genetic Counselling) or a related field is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical research is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills (strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and database navigation).
- Experience in qualitative research techniques (e.g. interviews) and analysis methods are an asset.
- Experience with REDCap data capture system is an asset.
- Experience with Endnote software is an asset.
- Experience with adobe premiere and web design are an asset.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills are essential in order to develop good working relationships with the research and clinical teams, Research Ethics Board and other collaborators.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and self-directed**.**:

- The individual should possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, be highly motivated, a critical thinker and must be flexible to take on varied responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated high energy with excellent organizational and analytic skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work in fast pace environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail while maintaining view of the larger scope.

**Employment Type**:Temporary, Part-Time, 6-months contract (with the possibility of extension)
