**Team Leader, Real Property Management**
The Technical Specialist in Asset Management, Real Property Management provides complex real property management services in support of the delivery of Client-Partners’ real property projects and programs. The incumbent acts as a technical specialist by coordinating the collection of information, ensuring the integrity of infrastructure data and implementing program planning using infrastructure data with the various databases, including asset management software. In addition, the incumbent produces and delivers data-based reports and provides advice to support investment decisions, measures various key performance indicators, coordinates activities within the framework of complex projects, and manages relationships with Client-Partners.
**KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES**

**Primary**
- Develop and manage asset management programs
- Support asset management planning activities
- Coordinate and manage real estate data management activities
- Identify Client-Partners’ information needs; interpret and develop analysis and visualization tools (e.g., dashboards, reports)
- Interpret the results of analyses and ensure data accuracy
- Validate data with various stakeholders, including DCC, DND and industry
- Inform, advise and provide recommendations to Client-Partners based on data interpretation
- Support the Client-Partner in the development of data-driven infrastructure programs for the recapitalization, demolition and maintenance of existing infrastructure
- Carry out regular audits of data integrity and quality
- Prepare monthly reports internally and for the Client-Partner
- Study, review and develop key policies, standards, guidelines and performance indicators
- Support the drafting of statements of business requirements for life-cycle cost analysis, prepare business cases and conduct investigations as required
- Develop asset management training programs
- Develop specific information management tools to track new requirements for real estate data reporting and tracking
- Support or lead business development activities
- Establish and maintain effective relationships within DCC, with industry, Client-Partners and stakeholders
- Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partners expectations
- Manage risk

**SKILLS**
**General and Specific Knowledge**
- Best practices, methods, trends and legislation in the collection, use and analysis of data related to infrastructure in general, asset management, energy management and facility maintenance
- Database design and statistics
- Principles of project management and risk management
**Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience**
- Minimum: College diploma in engineering technology, facility management, data science, computer science or a related field, and six years’ relevant experience, or equivalent.
- Preferred: University degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training in asset management and project management; professional designation may be required depending on the position (e.g., Certified Engineering Technologist or associated designation). Opportunity to obtain professional certification in asset management (e.g., in asset planning and management).

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Typical office environment with occasional travel.
- The incumbent may work in a hybrid mode (telecommuting and face-to-face) depending on the policies of the organization. Some work may be located on construction sites; the incumbent may occasionally be required to wear basic safety equipment.
