The Wasa-Nabin Program Coordinator under the direction of the Executive Director will be responsible to ensure the effective delivery of programing in a way that the needs of the youth (13-18) identified as at-risk who are referred to the program are met in a timely and culturally sensitive manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- College diploma in Child and Youth Worker, Indigenous Studies or a combination of education and experiences;
- 3-years experience working with Indigenous children, youth and families;
- Must have knowledge of social, cultural, and recreational needs and interests of youth;
- Experience in program planning, development, implementation, facilitation, data collection and evaluation;
- Knowledge of Indigenous and non-Indigenous community supports and services;
- Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history, with particular on the emphasis on the impacts of trauma, Indigenous youth engagement and community outreach;
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment;
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training;
- First Aid/CPR certification;
- Valid driver’s license with clear driving record and have access to reliable transportation is an asset;
- A clear Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) with a Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) will be a condition of the employment offer.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
HRIC is a highly flexible organization offering additional compensation including 5 paid cultural days, 4 paid holidays beyond mandatory Employment Standards, paid shutdown over the Christmas holiday week, and health benefits. HRIC health benefits are offered to full time permanent employees, employees will be able to enroll upon the successful completion of their (3) three-month probationary period.
