Your mission at Smith Cameron is to ensure all data is analyzed with a fine toothcomb and any issues are resolved in a timely manner. This data may include sanitary, storm sewer flow data, sewer system evaluation survey data, collection, system schematics, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) records, rain data, pump station, and data.

To be successful in this role you make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information, under tight deadlines and pressure. You pick up on technical things quickly and are good at learning a new industry, company or product.

**About the **Role**:

- Analyze data for calibration, trends, patterns, and outliers; using graphical and statistical analysis.
- Follow standard processes for routine data processing and preparation of data for review and audits.
- Identify problems with data and propose solutions to correct persistent problems.
- Assist in final report preparation for customers; producing work of professional quality, accurate and timely.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally any abnormalities observed during data collection.
- Inform field staff regarding the quality of data right after installation.
- Assist with project engineering tasks.
- Participate in the implementation of assigned projects (where required)

This includes:

- Facilitate the flow of information from the Project Manager to the Project Team.
- Complete assigned project tasks and procure required resources.
- Track project deliverables.
- Review project data for accuracy and completeness.
- Compile project data quantities supporting the invoicing process.
- Issue, review and close project work order documentation.
- Review and maintain documentation for quality assurance.
- Participate in project meetings, status updates, and debriefings.
- Execute project tasks as needed to ensure that projects are advanced.
- All other tasks as assigned by manager.

**Required Experience**:

- Degree in water resources, environmental or civil engineering
- Minimum 1-years of data analysis experience in engineering and/or environmental field.
- Basic understanding/familiarity with databases or Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Intermediated knowledge of Excel
- Understanding of the project management processes
- Experience with ERP’s is an asset.
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics in order to find data correlation, outlier analysis and interpret the statistical result
- Familiar with regression models and different type of statistical tests
- GIS and VBA knowledge as an asset
- Basic understanding of ADS product lines, services, and software is an asset.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
