**Job Overview**
You will primarily be responsible for managing a variety of HR activities, including recruitment and onboarding processes, handling employee benefits, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and organizing events. Additionally, you will ensure the smooth operation of our office by managing equipment, supplies, and facility-related tasks. Your efforts will also involve engaging team members and external stakeholders to maintain an organized and welcoming workplace. The HR Manager reports directly to the Directors. Please note that this role requires the highest sensitivity to confidential matters.

**Duties**:

- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions as well as keeping the organization chart up to date- Set employees up for success by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
- Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors
- Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and assisting with job evaluations; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions
- Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits, assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements, maintaining records
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
- Update and manage our HR system
- Conduct and analyze employee satisfaction surveys to help improve workplace culture
- Ensure consistent employee recognition ensuring cards, events are organized for employee special milestones (birthdays, work anniversaries, etc.)
- Assist with internal company communication and be the primary contact for external HR inquiries
- Oversee the Health and Safety Committee, ensuring we have enough committee members and following the guidelines
- Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of office equipment.
- Manage and maintain the filing system and a comprehensive inventory of all staff and

office equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient allocation of resources to

support the daily operations and long-term needs of the organization
- Oversee vendor relationships related to office expenses, ensuring optimal service levels

and cost-efficiency
- Manage the company phone, printer, internet plan, and incoming and outgoing mail to

ensure all communications needs are met for our employees.
- Be the main point of contact with the building management company in regards to

repairs, events, maintenance etc.
- Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office policies and procedures
- Manage company events including celebrations, quarterly meetings, and our annual

Christmas party, and other employee recognition events

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3-5+ years of HR generalist and Office management experience
- Proven experience in human resources and office management
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in using HR software and office management systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Sense of Fairness, with the ability to balance organizational goals with Employee needs
- Business Acumen to understand how the HR and Office Management functions fit into

the organization’s strategic plans.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
