IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

**JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Managed Services and Applications, the Manager, Managed Services is a leadership role requiring technical knowledge and skills coupled with excellent leadership skills. The role is not expected to travel in the execution of their duties. This position will assist in the development of the Managed Services capability, budgets for IT and the business and will be responsible for budgeting all IT managed services contracted to AGLC, currently in excess of $5M.
The goal of this role is to lead a team of senior analysts in modernizing and evolving IT service delivery. The Manager, Managed Services is responsible for the support of a broad portfolio of on premises, cloud based, and hybrid solutions provided to the business. The Managed Services support model requires a collaborative approach with Corporate Services, IT Security & Risk Management, the Business areas, and vendors to ensure each solution in the portfolio has an Application Lifecycle Plan, a Vendor and Contract Management Plan, an IT Security Risk and Compliance Plan, and to ensure the required budgets and financial planning activities are carried out. The Manager, Managed Services will be responsible for ensuring that each solution in their portfolio has a long-term roadmap, or ‘pipeline’ that include these delivery milestones, and that the business area is fully engaged in, and satisfied with the solution management processes and outputs.
The Manager, Managed Services is also responsible for providing leadership to the team, which includes employee engagement and growth, employee performance management, project management (for day to day and divisional initiatives), resource planning, operational planning, and providing input into section tactical and strategic plans. This role will also ensure all section processes, procedures, templates etc. are documented appropriately.

**SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- A Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline plus four years’ industry experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of four(4) years of progressive leadership in significant, complex IT projects and/or supervisory experience
- Experience with the identification and successful deployment of new IT technologies and processes in a medium to large IT organization
- Experience with solution design and analysis
- Strong technical background in a broad range of technologies
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively with colleagues and peers.
- Ability to assimilate information to create value and set direction with limited or ambiguous information (for example: creating net new processes and procedures)
- Ability to think critically and creatively, solve problems, make complex decisions, and build trust across the organization
- Ability to understand a strategic vision and the ability to integrate this vision into effective actions for themselves and their team.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
