**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at client organizations within the retail food industry.
- Understand our bulk and packaged food products and services, in order to discuss and explain to prospective clients.
- Seek and follow leads to acquire new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
- Create and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and successfully close sales.
- Handle the preparation and presentation of customer business reviews for both Buyers and executive level accounts.
- Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process.
- Ensure communication is open and efficient, building customer loyalty.
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
- Manage all pricing for the account base including company margin, customer price increases, and managing promotional pricing and spends.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop short
- and long-term strategic plans.
- Provide input from sales, including growth, competitive analysis, market trends, and the business environment, for strategic planning processes.
- Forecast select items to production, keeping the company margin expectation on track with all clients.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales or key account management in the retail food industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large account base.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
