We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as the
**Distribution Manager. **Reporting to the Director of Distribution, you will be responsible for the effective management of the St. Jacobs Distribution Centre and off-site storage facilities, including the movement of merchandise in an efficient, safe, and secure manner.

**What you’ll do**:
- Actively leads and supports culture and engagement opportunities in St. Jacobs through coaching and development of Team Leaders. As well as, supports the establishment and execution of strong communication venues for our front-line Team Members and salaried staff.
- Champions a safe work environment through visible safety leadership programs, training, work environment and enforcement of Home Hardware policies.
- Works with the Director to establish the Distribution Centre goals and objectives (Safety, Cost and Service) in support of the corporate business plan.
- In consultation with the Director, supports resource planning for the St. Jacobs Distribution Centre and off-site storage facilities.
- Recommends warehouse/material handling equipment needs and replacements.
- Support the creation and monitoring of the budget, with a focus on expense control and performance improvement. Provide weekly corporate updates on Distribution operations.
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of relevant legislation and corporate policies to ensure compliance and due diligence with respect to Team Members and Facilities. Ensures training is completed timely and successfully as required.
- Collaborates with Dealers and other departments to resolve complaints, provide input on the development and implementation of Distribution Centre policies, procedures and systems, and addresses escalated concerns. Chairperson/Co-chair on various committees.
**What we’re looking for**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field, would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant Supply Chain experience, coupled with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Exceptional ability to engage and motivate Team Members while building a positive work culture.
- Excel in conflict resolution and people management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong change leadership skills with the ability to bring others along while making transformational changes.
- Works well under pressure while remaining calm and focused.
- Adaptable to changing conditions and tasks.
- Warehouse Management Systems experience: Manhattan and Dematic considered an asset.
