Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

Babs Auto Sales is looking for a dynamic and self-driven personality with a keen Bookkeeper and Administrative know how to Assistant our growing team.
This individual will support the management and accounting team in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and inventory controls.
Daily business procedures include payment transactions, accounts reconciliation, payroll management and tracking, invoice issuing and more. Additionally, you will be a key first point of contact with our customers, vendors and suppliers on a daily basis. Problem-solving is a daily part of our customer service commitment and we seek an individual that reflects our organization’s corporate culture. We pride ourselves on competitive pricing and product knowledge.
Duties and responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
- Accounts Receivable
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Ensuring payments are received and applied in a timely manner
Accounts Payable:
- Manage and process All payments.
- Daily Reconciling of bank accounts
- Assist with reviewing of All expenses.
- Daily tracking of staff’s time tracking.
- Ongoing and regular proactive communication with suppliers, vendors, providers and internal teams
- Maintaining financial records for company by analyzing balance sheets.
- Maintains general bookkeeping by reconciling accounts receivables.
- Assist senior accounting staff in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal closings.
- Compliance with All General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Products created/entered are accurate through holding vendors accountable to providing accurate/detailed invoices as required
**Qualifications**:
- 2 years or more working frontline directly with the customer.
- 2 plus years previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, and self -egulated environment.
- QuickBooks Certificate.
- CPA is desirable.
**Skills**:
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Expertise in Microsoft suite.
- Proficient with QuickBooks.
- Establishing, managing and sustaining All accounts
- Daily data entry procedure.
- A Comprehensive working knowledge of accounting principles
- A keen attention to details and process.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
B.SC or BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field of study
Microsoft Outlook/ SharePoint
QuickBooks Online Certificate
2 years of Accounting/ Bookkeeping Experience
Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
HIGH Computer proficiency
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Oshawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
