**Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association** is a non-profit community services agency. Since 1976, we have provided community support, home and personal health care services in a holistic manner to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with medical needs in the Greater Toronto, York, and Mississauga regions.

With a staff of 500 members (including full-time and part-time staff) and the help of a pool of 850 active volunteers, we serve over 15,000 clients a year, including seniors and the physically disabled; 3,000 of whom are "home-bound" and frail.

We are currently seeking a part-time permanent **Program Worker** to join our (VTC) Vocational Training Centre team.

**Term**: 20-21 hours per week

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize, develop, and implement VTC certificate trainings, education modules, schedules, communications, and marketing materials
- Oversee day-to-day coordination of student support services including (but not limited to) job seeking, job opportunities, student progress, etc.
- Assist in the recruitment and coordination of course instructors/facilitators/consultants
- Provides administrative support to course instructors/facilitators/consultants
- Assist in the review and evaluation of programs, including (but not limited to) identifying the priority of needs, types of trainings required, instructors/facilitators/consultants required, etc.
- Promote the courses to potential students to meet the enrolment targets each term
- Conduct participant assessment surveys; evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
- Maintain records and generate reports

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in adult educational setting and/or organization coordinating program services and activities
- Knowledgeable of community resources and services
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, organizational, marketing skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to self-direct, prioritize, multi-task and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while dealing with conflicting demands and distractions; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build and develop effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Fluent in English, and ability to speak a second language that reflects the community served, eg. Cantonese, Mandarin, is an asset
- Ability to type in Chinese (traditional/simplified) is an asset
- A valid vulnerable sector police record check completed within one year
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License preferred
