The Accounting Operations Section provides a range of financial and accounting services to the ministry. The Accounts Payable clerk provides expertise in accounts payable, financial administration and expenditure monitoring, and auditing and processing a wide range of accounts payable transactions including invoices, contracts, grants and contribution payments, non-government travel and journal vouchers. The Accounts Payable clerk reports to the Supervisor, Accounting Operations and works in an environment characterized by high volume and time-sensitive, multiple demands. The incumbent requires initiative and exceptional organization skills to respond appropriately to multiple and varied demands for service.

**Job Requirements**:

- Completion of Grade 12 and post-secondary courses in bookkeeping, accounting and business.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a complex accounts payable environment.
- Experience in reconciling accounts.
- Experience working in an office setting.

This is a temporary opportunity until October 2024. This temporary opportunity may be extended or become permanent.
