Its mandate is to support and enhance a responsive, comprehensive, regionalized health care system that promotes and provides for the physical, mental and community health of all British Columbians.

The Finance and Corporate Services Division supports the Ministry of Health Executive and programs by managing and ensuring a consistent approach to financial and corporate issues. The services are provided through five branches: Financial Operations, Financial Analysis and Decision Support, Regional Grants and Decision Support, Audit and Investigations, and Logistics Strategy. These branches provide financial advice and assist programs to meet their strategic goals and operational plans, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and central agency directives.

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Financial Services, the Finance Clerk is responsible for a wide variety of tasks. Primary duties include maintenance of accounts receivables, monitoring of general ledger transactions related to collection of revenues, processing payments and payments of expenses. Other activities include daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial functions associated with the general financial duties of the unit.

**Job Requirements**:
Education and experience:

- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent (GED).
- 6 months related experience in each of the following:

- Completing data entry and ensuring accuracy.
- Working in a customer service environment.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

- 1 year or more in any of the above statements
- Training or education in basic accounting or bookkeeping.
- Experience in accounts payable.
