PHSS is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides unique and flexible supports and services so that people with complex medical, physical, and/or developmental needs can live the life they choose as part of the community. As a leader in community inclusion of individuals with developmental, medical, and/or complex physical needs, PHSS supports individuals to live in their own homes and participate in the community with family and friends.

Based in London, Ontario, PHSS supports more than 300 individuals in more than 70 locations across Ontario, providing 24-hour residential supports, day and overnight respite, specialized complex medical care and intensive behavioural supports, recreational programs, and support for individuals living at home with their families. By offering home-based supports, PHSS provides an alternative to institutional care by reducing the pressure on hospitals and institutions and, in many cases, substantially reduce the cost of care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Clerical Responsibilities/Administrative Assistance_
- Provide administrative support to management staff
- Type correspondences, meeting minutes, reports, distribution of memos, forms, printing, etc,. as needed
- Manage requisition process and purchase items as needed from PHSS locations across the province
- Learn and provide input to organizational digital transformation
- Maintaining schedule/calendar, booking hotels, event and travel tickets
- Maintain vendor records as well as verifying new vendors as required
- Assist with posting for recruitment, receive resumes, prepare and manage new employee packages
- Order supplies and general office maintenance as needed
- Assist with building maintenance including communication with landlord
- Assist with creating posters, newsletters, documents, and disseminating information
- Sort incoming mail, prepare and send outgoing packages via courier
- Other duties as assigned or required
- Reception_
- Answer phone, direct flow of visitors, assist/advise staff/volunteers arriving
- Manage Petty Cash and event/raffle tickets

**Required Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary diploma/degree in Business Administration or similar field is preferred
- Great people skills, outgoing and creative
- Ability to work independently as well as demonstrate initiative and establish good working relationships with colleagues and external contacts
- Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment, multi-tasking and problem-solving quickly and effectively while prioritizing visitors and phone-calls
- Excellent MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Experience in the Not-For-Profit sector is preferred
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
- Excellent understanding of office practices and procedures
- Some light lifting is required
