**How You'll Help Us Better Serve Our Clients**

As a **Professional Development (PD) and Student Coordinator** you will report to both the Director of People and Culture and the Director of Professional Development, supporting our student program (including recruitment) and our coaching and career development initiatives. The position is ideal for someone with strong service delivery skills who enjoys working with professionals at all levels.

**What You'll Be Doing**

Every day will bring new and exciting opportunities to learn and grow, but below are some of the regular tasks you can expect to work on:
**CW Student Program (Director of People and Culture)**

1. Coordinate end-to-end logistics for year-round student recruiting activities, including:

- all aspects of law and student association outreach;
- the on-campus and in-firm interviews of the Vancouver Bar Association student recruitment cycle;
- general support for the Student Recruiting Committee;
- maintain up-to-date information for prospective students on the Clark Wilson LLP website.

2. Coordinate all aspects of the student program for CW summer and articling students, including:

- onboarding new and returning students;
- creating and maintaining the student rotation schedule and principal assignments;
- learning programs and social events;
- the student performance review and hire back processes;
- admission requirements and in-firm oath ceremonies;
- maintain up-to-date information for and about our students on CW Hub (intranet).

**Coaching and Career Development (Director of Professional Development)**

3. Provide administrative and coordination support for:

- all student, lawyer and paralegal mentoring programs;
- individual and group coaching activities.

4. Assist with advertising and hosting workshops and other in-house professional development events.

**How You'll Be a Great Fit For This Role**
- Post-secondary education in administration or a related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or other professional services environment, ideally with some People and Culture experience;
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with viDesktop an advantage;
- Able to work Monday to Friday in the office from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, with flexibility to work longer hours during events and student recruiting periods;
- Exceptional organization and time management skills;
- A strong, engaging writing style;
- Able to communicate professionally with all kinds of people in all kinds of circumstances;
- Builds strong relationships inside and outside the Firm;
- Friendly, positive, shows care for others;
- Shows grace under pressure;
- Learning mindset;
- Looks for new and better ways to do things.
