**About the Position**
This position provides administrative support and coordination on recruitment, orientation, group benefit administration, HRIS administration for DHQ and respective ministry unit (MU) contacts. This position supports the delivery of human resources programs, services, and initiatives.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Accountabilities**:
- Administration, HR Processes, File Documentation and Data Integrity
- Respond to general HR-related inquiries
- Process and maintain HRIS for DHQ employee and camp staff
- Coordinate HRIS data audits from HR Operations to respective ministry units to ensure ongoing HRIS data integrity
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of effective human resources practices and processes within DHQ and, as necessary, the division
- Act as a resource to MU contacts with group insurance, group RRSP and HRIS
- Support the HR team in the delivery of human resources programs, services, and initiatives
- Maintain the HR Resources database on MS Teams
Recruitment and Orientation/Onboarding
- Review and maintain DHQ’s recruitment and orientation procedures and associated documentation
- Assist DHQ management in the recruitment and orientation cycles
- Support the Youth Department with recruitment of summer camp staff
- Review and post MU job postings upon request, ensuring postings meet territorial Salvation Army requirements
- Provide MUs with recruitment and hiring support as necessary, this will include ensuring the appropriate recruitment processes and recruiting platforms
- Maintain general orientation tools, relevant documentation and resources
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in social sciences, human resources, or related field
- Minimum two years related experience
- Working knowledge of human resources information systems; UltiPro preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining processes to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness
- Respect and understanding of The Salvation Army - its mission, culture, and values
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
