Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Coordinator to assist with various HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about HR to contribute to the development and success of our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, including personnel files, timekeeping systems, and HRIS.
  • Support employee relations initiatives, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating communication between employees and management.
  • Assist with HR compliance activities, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and scheduling meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR coordination or administration role preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms. Experience with Dayforce is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification (e.g., CPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
