As the Recruitment and HR Specialist you will support all processes related to sourcing, hiring, onboarding and developing our staff, as well as support with various People Programs to enhance productivity, morale, and engagement.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee and support the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring through timely postings, pipeline outreach, and recruitment for Head Office, Retail and Distribution Centre positions
- Support with world-class onboarding of all new hires and remain a point of contact to new hires throughout their training
- Maintain and act as the go-to expert of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), assisting and training hiring managers on how to best leverage the platform
- Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and act as an advisor in all talent acquisition matters
- Collaborate with Marketing Department to build a strong employer brand in various markets
- Act as brand ambassador and drive short-term and long-term culture related initiatives to increase engagement and boost morale
- Partner with HR to develop surveys and evaluative tools to assess effectiveness of created People programs
- Write, update, edit and deliver internal communication material as needed
- Analyze the competitive landscape and internal trends to determine industry best practices, benchmarks, and the impact to the workforce
- Contribute ideas to developing new processes and frameworks to improve corporate and store organization and efficiency
- Support in other HR projects as needed
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR and recruitment capacity
- Experience working within the Retail Industry is a strong asset
- Experience sourcing talent via several networking platforms
- Intermediate to advanced technical skills in Power Point, Word and Excel
- Outstanding and superior communication skills both written and verbally
- Strong ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision
- Ability to think outside the box
- Excellent listening and synthesizing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and meet time sensitive deadlines consistently
