**What you’ll do**
- Build and maintain purposeful partnerships with key partners and other interested parties across the health system.
- Provide strategic leadership in key areas including the development and monitoring of the PLMS strategic plan with PHSA and the Ministry of Health and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an integrated governance model that considers the interrelationships, dependencies, and collaborative relationships of key strategic, business and operational planning, monitoring and reporting activities.
- Develop concise, clear and informative briefings, presentations and responses to executive, the Ministry, and other internal and external groups as required.
- Identify risks and barriers to success and ensures there are plans to mitigate; identify and address conflict on the horizon; resolves any conflicts prior to the need to escalate; identifies and manages impending change.
- In collaboration with the ED, Corporate and Administrative Affairs, and PLMS executive leaders, obtains the necessary input from programs to develop operational and strategic plans, annual goals and objectives, which support PLMS’ mandate and are aligned with PHSA and government priorities.
- Provide leadership in the integration of information across Corporate and Administrative Affairs portfolio and fosters the creation and use of high quality, meaningful information for planning, quality improvement and decision-making purposes.
- Establish clear targets and measures to track progress toward PLMS strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership for the identification and development of various metrics and key performance indicators for meeting PLMS’ reporting framework and the performance reporting requirements of the PHSA and external parties including the Ministry of Health. Oversees the routine production of these reports.
**What you bring**
- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Leadership or other relevant field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years relevant senior leadership experience in healthcare, quality improvement and/or organizational change.
- Recent experience (within the last 7 years) must include experience leading corporate service functions (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Administration etc.) for a medium to large size public sector organization.
You will also have:
- Knowledge of government healthcare priorities and operating environment, including government decision-making process.
- Strong strategic thinking, systems approach, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Superior written and oral communication skills and attention to detail when communicating.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a manner that can be understood by the target audience.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
