**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager and associated physician in the Department of Ophthalmology, the Administrative Secretary (Secretary D) provides secretarial support and receptionist duties. The Administrative Secretary is required to manage all aspects of a medical practice. Initiative, forethought and the ability to work as a team player without, direct supervision, is required.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12, plus a medical secretarial diploma or commercial course with medical terminology required
- Minimum 1 year related experience required
- Experience using an EMR (electronic medical record) an asset
- Knowledge of surgical booking and hospital admitting procedures
- Experience using hospital STAR and PHS an asset
- Experience with word processing and use of transcription equipment with a typing speed of 60 wpm
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and make decisions related to duties and responsibilities
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.36 - $23.14 Hourly
