**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager and associated physician in the Department of Ophthalmology, the Secretary D provides secretarial support and receptionist duties. The Secretary D is required to manage all aspects of a medical practice. Initiative, forethought and the ability to work as a team player without, direct supervision, is required.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12, plus a medical secretarial diploma or commercial course with medical terminology
- Minimum 1 year related experience required
- Experience using an EMR (electronic medical record) an asset
- Knowledge of surgical booking and hospital admitting procedures
- Experience using hospital STAR and PHS an asset
- Experience with word processing and use of transcription equipment with a typing speed of 60 wpm
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and make decisions related to duties and responsibilities
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent, full-time position, 70 hrs bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.36 - $23.14 hourly
