**Role Definition: Human Resources Generalist**
**Recruitment and Onboarding**:
- Participates in full cycle recruitment for all employees and volunteers in conjunction with the other members of the management team in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
- Researches and prepares job descriptions, advertisements and letters of offer.
- Assists with the development and monitoring of all total rewards, including compensation and benefits.
- Establishes and/or maintains all personnel files in a confidential manner.
- Provides interpretation and advice on HR policies and procedures related to the recruitment and onboarding process.
**Labour Relations**:
- Monitors and manages an effective performance management system.
- Provides coaching and guidance to managers on HR related issues including conflict resolution and performance management practices.
**Occupational Health and Safety**:
- Ensures compliance with the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ensures compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures related to safety.
**Administrative**:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company goals and objectives.
- Participates in regular staff meetings as required.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys, recognition programs and diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Tracks and analyzes employee statistics for overtime, LOA’s, holidays, sick time usage etc.
**Strategic**:
- Proactively identifies Human Resource issues affecting business operations.
- Proposes and implements recruitment and retention strategies and training and development opportunities.
- Tracks and monitors HR performance metrics and provides a monthly HR dashboard for the Executive Director and the Board.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a human resources/labour relations role. A combination of training and experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources Designation (CPHR)
**COMPETENCIES**:
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources management best practices and applicable employment legislation.
- Must be able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships through respectful and professional interactions with all members of the organization.
- Detail oriented ensuring that organizational databases, filing systems and corporate records are appropriately maintained and updated.
- Supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and advocating to dismantle barriers that prevent people from fully contributing and thriving within the organization.
**OTHER**:
- Acceptable criminal record check, with a vulnerable sector search
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $31.18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
