The **HR Coordinator **at Versatile Media will help us develop, implement and evaluate human resources and employee relations policies, programs and procedures. This role will be involved in HRIS management, employee relations, orientation, benefits, training, and numerous other responsibilities. This role will work alongside our Human Resources Manager, Recruitment and Production to manage the needs of our growing studio as well as a new facility coming soon in Burnaby. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a career in film and the emerging field of virtual production. **This is a 100% onsite role with potential for a hybrid schedule in the near future.**

**How you will spend your time...**
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and processes.
- Managing the onboarding process and ensuring a smooth transition into employees' new roles.
- Maintaining our HRIS (Bamboo) and keeping other employee files on Google drive up-to-date at all times.
- Responding to HR related inquiries from staff and providing information through appropriate channels.
- Enrolling new hires into employee benefits programs.
- Coordinating internal and external Training and Development.
- Assisting with our performance appraisal system that drives production productivity and well-being.
- Brainstorming and taking action on culture building initiatives to nurture a positive working environment.
- Providing updates to the leadership team on key decisions using HR metrics whenever possible.
- Supporting bi-weekly payroll process by assisting the Financial Controller.
- Work closely with the Facility team for organizing in-house events and with Recruitment & Marketing teams for outdoor events & job fairs.
- Driving Health & Safety action items towards achieving compliance and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Other tasks as maybe assigned from time to time.

**What we are looking for.**
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Knowledge of BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience with HR practices and BC Employment Standards and legislation.
- Organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills with a developed sense of urgency and strong results orientation.
- Knowledge of training and development, legal compliance and performance management.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems, knowledge of BambooHR is an added bonus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and knowledge of Service Canada practices as it relates to Temporary Foreign Worker requirements is an added bonus.
- A strong interest in the hi tech or creative sector is preferred.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
