As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a dynamic HR Generalist with a high level of demonstrated discretion and professionalism to manage our Vancouver HR functions. Reporting to the Business Unit Leader (and dotted line to the FDP Group HR Director), this HR practitioner is responsible for the day-to-day HR operations and for ensuring strategic HR programs and functions are carried out and maintained. The incumbent will also provide support to managers in many areas, e.g., development and coaching, performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, and compensation.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
HR Projects & Initiatives
- Champion and work with the Leadership Team on HR programs, including annual salary reviews and bonus plans, performance evaluations, and development and succession plans, ensuring priorities are communicated and cascaded through the organization
- Support the execution of strategies, programs, and initiatives to drive organizational change

Recruitment & Selection
- Collaborate on recruitment activities with our Talent Acquisition Specialist to strategically help attract and retain people
- Build and implement customized onboarding experiences for new hires

Operational Responsibilities
- Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislations, and industry best practices
- Create and analyze HR reports and metrics to identify trends; utilize the data to support discussions and recommended business solutions
- Prepare employee-related documentation, and communicate with Payroll Team
- Assist with WorkSafe claims, monitor WorkSafe rates, and occupational health and safety procedures

Employee Relations
- Educate and advise staff on the interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs
- Conduct employee counselling, grievance handling, and exits interviews
- Collaborate with the Administrative Officer and committees to organize company and employee activities

Training & Development
- Research third-party training opportunities and providers
- Maintain training records for Vancouver team members

**QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE**:

- 4+ years in progressive HR roles
- Post-secondary degree with a qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience, CPHR designation strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in coaching managers on HR processes and programs
- Experience in coordinating and executing training programs
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced team environment
- Open mindset and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and paradoxes
- Knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin an asset
