Bayfield Mortgage Professionals is looking to hire for the position of Mortgage Collections and Account Administrator to work in our Langley office.
This position is ideal for an individual looking to expand their current collections and administration experience in the financial industry. Mortgage Collection experience or experience in the mortgage industry, such as a mortgage broker, Bank/Credit Union lending, or working with a Mortgage Investment Corporation would be an added asset.
Good to excellent computer skills and understanding of processes is important part of this position.
**Responsibilities**:
Along with finding solutions to bring current accounts ranging from 1 to 90-day delinquent mortgage loans through the collections and/or workout arrangements, directly with clients. This will be generally through in and out bound call to clients along with detailed note recording as well as with formal follow up.
The position on the administrative side would be related to new file set up, payment and banking arrangements, welcome letters and package and general maintenance and payment processing on accounts.
Not all accounts are collection activity, and the role is ideal for someone looking for a challenge and willing to take on responsibility as they learn and grow with a company that has been around since 1983.
Along with our team, and Foreclosure Department, you will have the ability the Evaluate each account by reviewing the loan particulars, mortgagor payment history, original property value and credit bureaus to determine the appropriate action to eliminate the arrears. Initiate outbound calls to all applicable parties, to solicit additional information via client interviews as to the current financial situation and the reason for default. Negotiate an appropriate remedy to cure on a case-by-case basis for resolution of the mortgage arrears. Maintain accurate and organized accounts and records including any workout arrangements with borrowers by updating memos, by confirming arrangements to clients (written & verbal), posting payments and to ensure arrears are collected in a timely and efficient mannered than finally decide when collection efforts have been exhausted and transfer the file to the our foreclosure department.
