A fundamental part of this management position is the presence of a profit share opportunity that will be presented to the successful applicant. The profit share will ensure that the EMS Program Manager will receive a percentage of the overall revenue for each EMS training program offered in addition to their competitive wage paid while delivering training. The CFRC is offering this unique compensation opportunity to encourage the successful applicant to grow their EMS training branch, and truly gain a sense of ownership for the training program. We beleive that sharing our success with those directly responsible for it is critical to the growth of a center of educational excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver EMR and AFA level training to fire program students
- Manage subordinate instructors
- Assist with the ACP approval process as needed
- Once approved, deliver ACP approved EMR and PCP level training
- Co-ordinate training with the College Director, Admissions Team, and other Program Managers
- Document and file training records
- Setup and maintain classroom facilities.
- Maintain and clean medical equipment and supplies
- Manage EMS program budget
- Follow all protocols and guidelines set forth by the Canadian Fire Rescue College and the Canadian Red Cross

**Skills**:

- Valid EMR, PCP, or ACP license, **OR** advanced degree in emergency medecine (preferred) required
- PCP instructor certification and/or experience considered an asset
- Excellent instructional skills and background experience
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and maneuver simulated patients safely
- Management and supervision experience is required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently

This position is currently scheduled to be part-time, instructing a few classes at pre-determined intervals throughout the year, however, the position is expected to become full-time as the Program Manager develops and assists in promotion of the training programs.

Licence/Certification:

- Certificate and/or experience teaching PCP training programs (preferred)
- EMR, PCP, ACP, OR Medical Degree (Nursing, MD, etc.) (required)
