**ABOUT YOU**
The Custodial Specialist will be hard-working and committed to the health, safety, and maintenance of our beautiful indoor and outdoor facilities enjoyed by children, families, staff, and community members. They will take care of the Crestwood grounds as if they were their own, in terms of keeping them in safe working order and clean. They are ready to work with a team of administrative leaders who communicate frequently to ensure best practices in operations and they are committed to being flexible with hours of work to accommodate the needs of the businesses.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting to the VP of Operations, School Director, and Camp Directors, the Custodial Specialist’s duties and responsibilities for the school and camp include, but are not limited to the following:
**Daily Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and disinfecting the school, and the campus property (with approved cleaning solutions approved by and listed on the Government of Canada website), including all areas that are touched by students, campers, staff, and visitors.
- Using school approved products provided by Cintas and Quality Chemicals for cleaning and disinfection.
- Maintaining daily cleaning and property checklists provided by Crestwood and/or applicable government-regulated ministries.
- Removing any debris and/or hazardous objects/materials and garbage on the property.
- Setting up indoor spaces for meetings, assemblies, and other events including but not limited to setting up and taking down chairs, tables, and other furniture.
- Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition (inside and outside).
- Performs routine and heavy cleaning duties.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs and/or vacuums floors.
- Gathers and empties recycling and trash throughout the day, and end of day.
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
- Sanitize door handles.
- Dust/Polish, fixtures, furniture, walls, and equipment.
- Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other approved cleaning solutions.
- Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Clean & sanitize cafeteria after each lunch session.
- At the end of the day, sweeping, mopping of classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and hallways.
- At the end of each day, cleaning the mops and buckets to be ready for use the next day.

**Communication**:

- Work closely with other facilities maintenance team members to complete job responsibilities independently or as a team when necessary.
- Work with and be in constant communication with administrative team members: VP of Operations; School Director and their administrative team; Camp Directors and their administrative team.
- Reporting any health and safety, environmental, or building concerns that need to be addressed immediately or prioritized for a later date for less time-sensitive matters.
- Keeping the administrative team members up to date with ongoing projects.

There may be additional duties reasonably assigned to you from time to time. You agree that Crestwood School and Crestwood Valley Day Camp can make changes to your duties and responsibilities from time to time, to meet organizational objectives. This can include and is not limited to, completing similar duties and responsibilities at other Crestwood School and partner-organization properties/facilities. In the event of a fundamental change to the location of your work, your position, responsibilities, or duties, you will be given notice of the same in accordance with and limited to the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.

**COMPENSATION**
This is a full-time, hourly position (commensurate with experience) with health benefits.

**HOW TO APPLY**
