Job Title: School Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, and clean floors, hallways, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in cleaning or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.
Working Conditions:
  • 14 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
