**ILLUMINARIUM EXPERIENCES**
The latest addition to our Global Attractions portfolio, Legends has been chosen as the exclusive operator of lluminarium Experiences: cutting-edge immersive, experiential entertainment spectacles. Located in major cities and tourism destinations around the world, these custom-designed venues, or “Illuminariums,” will surround visitors in a 360x360 sensory experience, using advanced laser projection mapping and sound systems to transport guests to places they may never otherwise visit: the world’s best safari, an expedition to Mars, or even a trip back in time to visit ancient civilizations. After hours, Illuminariums will transform into unique spaces for corporate and private events, as well as immersive club/bar experiences, on the weekends. As museums are to art, cinemas are to movies, Illuminariums are to experiential entertainment.
**THE ROLE***
The Events and Group Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing overall event sales and work with the hospitality team for catering needs for special events at the venue. Events and Group Sales Manager is also responsible for strategically managing all activities within the group sales department while maintaining a specific focus on outreach to various channels including their existing network of contacts, cold calling, and incoming leads; as well as leveraging partner relationships to capitalize on marketing outreach and building the foundation for group sales
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Research, analyze, and develop special event profit generating opportunities
- Proactively solicit new business by, among other things, making sales calls and presentations, attending local trade shows, and engaging in other client prospecting to increase the size of the Organization’s potential client database
- Create leads and develop long-term relationships in the event planning, production, and promotion communities, and with other relevant companies, organizations, and groups
- Monitor changes and new developments in the special events industry
- Work closely and build relationships with the Legends food and beverage, and merchandise departments
- Manage and direct all Organization-related event logistics, including managing the events calendar, conducting walk-throughs and visits, and being the primary contact for clients
- Prepare and provide required reports including special event revenue reports, profit and loss statements, sales recaps, and projections
- Obtain feedback from clients following each special event to determine and analyze client satisfaction, Organizational Performance, and event-related risks and liabilities.
- Learn, understand and utilize sales systems and CRM on a daily basis
- Develop overall group sales outreach plan, manage sales process, coordinate invoices, payments, budget tracking
- Assist in creation of new group programs and events that increase sales opportunities and overall group tickets/revenue
- Must be adept at weekly reporting and sales forecasting based on available data
- Collaborate with local businesses, schools, churches, corporations, tour and travel operators
- Monitor, manage, and fulfill any daily partner requests
- Generate and aggregate necessary reporting for internal team
- Provide superior customer service to clients and prospects
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Illuminarium Experiences marketing and operations colleagues
- Organize key tradeshows, sales missions and additional events in respective markets
- Some travel to networking events, industry meetings and sales missions as need
- Non-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends and Holidays as necessary)
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three to five years of related experience
- Tourism Industry Experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training
- Resourceful, innovative, and forward thinking, with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Expertise in financial analysis and planning, budgeting, and marketing
- Working knowledge of local and regional markets, venue operations, and special events industries
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to effectively evaluate risks and liabilities of special events and rentals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet, database, CRM and word processing programs
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
- Excellent customer service
- Can be trusted to act in a manner that is truthful and values direct, honest communication at all levels of the organization
