**Position Summary**:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will work with our vendors to obtain computer hardware, software licenses, and professional services in accordance with our evolving procurement processes. You will be involved in the entire life cycle of procurement including: sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, getting approvals, placing orders, tracking and expediting orders, communicating with requisitioner on status, and receiving. Receiving is done at numerous locations across Canada, so you'll work with remote teams on receiving. You will follow established procurement processes and participate in the continual improvement of these. You'll be working within the Information Technology department of QHR. You'll be working in a small team located in Calgary for a company headquartered in Kelowna, BC. Your colleagues are primarily in Kelowna and Calgary, with others in Toronto and Vancouver, and others who work remotely. There is a lot to do but this job affords considerable flexibility in your schedule.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Source computer hardware/third party software
- Assist with qualifying new vendors
- Create requisitions and purchase orders
- Obtain necessary approvals before placing orders
- Place orders
- Track and update teams on progress of deliveries of orders
- Work with teams at various office locations on shipping and receiving
- Track upcoming warranty and software renewals
- Maintain various license and asset registers
- Generate various reports using established tools
- Other administrative tasks

- Perform other duties consistent with the position, as reasonably directed by your manager.

**Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Good written and oral English communication skill
- Fast and accurate with online paperwork
- At least moderate MS Excel skills
- Good numerical skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and security as directed
- Good general computer skills including basic Microsoft Office skills

**Compensation and Logistics**:

- Base salary, variable bonus established at the corporate level, competitive benefits package
- Full-time, permanent
- Flexible work hours
- No travel required
