The Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS) is a quasi-judicial tribunal that offers landlords and tenants a method of resolving disputes under the jurisdiction of the Residential Tenancies Act and the Mobile Home Sites Tenancies Act without going to court. The service is faster, less expensive and less formal than the courts. Hearings result in a binding and enforceable order. The RTDRS is a busy, fast-paced environment providing excellent service to Albertans.
**Role Responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities for this position will include:
- Providing information to the public, internal and external stakeholders by way of telephone, in-person, electronic mail, fax or written correspondence.
- Reviewing documents, accepting payments, scheduling hearings, and filing with the Court of King’s Bench, etc.
- Liaising with the courts and other department/outside agencies to ensure the smooth and timely flow of documentation through the legal system.
- Conducting administrative duties, which will include compiling, maintaining data and files, assisting in assigned project and other ancillary functions.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
- High school diploma
- PLUS 3 years minimum related experience (or equivalent as described below).
- Equivalencies will be considered based on one-year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
- A related 2-year related diploma and 1 years of related experience.
- A related 1-year certificate and 2 years related experience.
- A related bachelor’s or master’s degree.

- Proven ability to deliver customer service in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adept at managing complex and diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effectively conveying information to various stakeholders.
- Experience with data entry, documentation, and records management.
- Experience with consultation both in person and over the phone.
