**Location**: Toronto, ON
Position Overview
The Total Rewards Specialist supports the effective execution of Total Rewards (TR) programs for New Gold, within the areas of compensation, employee benefits, wellness, TR policies and recognition.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the delivery of New Gold’s compensation programs
Performs analysis of annual market data against New Gold’s compensation structure and actual employee compensation
Supports periodic structure reviews and redesigns
Completes compensation surveys (annual and adhoc)
Manages New Gold’s Job Documentation Library
Supports Job Documentation process, assisting managers and HR partners
Performs Job Evaluations, makes level recommendations and maintains the evaluation tracker and supporting documents and approvals in support of Pay Equity processes
Participates in annual Pay Equity review, posting and action planning process
Provides compensation recommendations and analysis to HR Managers
Performs research and documentation to support annual merit and equity budget recommendation
Supports the annual compensation cycle, including worksheet preparation and communication materials
Manages and updates Success Factors compensation module and performs audits of employee data in preparation for Annual Compensation process.
Drafts and creates letters for Merit, Short-Term and Long-Term incentive pay.
Supports data collection for the HR sections of the Management Information Circular
Ensures compensation program documentation is accurate on Sharepoint.
Audits and ensures Shareworks data is accurate and submits uploads and change requests for new grants and terminations
Supports the delivery of the Wellness, Employee Benefit and RRSP programs.
Performs quarterly benefit analysis
Ensures New Hire materials and instructions are accurate.
Supports benefits orientation and provides informational materials.
Supports corporate employee escalations with vendor partners
Completes benefits surveys and performs analysis
Ensures that benefit, RRSP and Savings Plan and wellness information is accurate on Sharepoint and on Effortless Admin site
Maintains communication calendar and prepares monthly program communications for inclusion in the bi-weekly newsletters to ensure increased program awareness
Leads Wellness Team programming and events
Supports PO and invoice process, budget preparation and analysis

**Complexity**:
Supports all Total Rewards programs through communication, analysis and recommendations.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business
Compensation certification (e.g. CCP, GRP, ACCP)
3-4 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards
Strong attention to detail and analytical
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communications skills
Service and results oriented
Pro-active, responsive professional, who likes working in a team and can solve problems
Proficiency with HR systems (e.g. SAP, Success Factors, ADP) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
