**Job Description**:
The Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for supporting our compensation strategy and practices to ensure compliance, internal equity, and external competitiveness.
This position is based in our Toronto Support Office. The Total Rewards Specialist will report to the People Insights Manager.
**Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
**Compensation/Pay Equity**
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive salary structure
- Performs role market-composites by benchmarking compensation data using external sources to ensure the competitiveness of pay practices and recommends market-based compensation while ensuring internal and external equity
- Partner with the People Insights Manager and leadership team in short-term/long-term incentive design planning that reflects the market and needs of the business as well as cost modeling
- Answer employee queries with regards to compensation in an inspiring way
**Merit Increase**
- Partner with the People Insights Manager and leadership team in the annual merit cycle process
- Creates analysis, calculations, and reports reflecting current and future compensation strategies
**Market Pricing**
- Responsible for selecting and completing all salary and policy surveys in a timely and efficient manner
- Responsible for maintaining a competitive salary structure for all roles and recommends market-based compensation while ensuring internal and external equity
- Participate in Job Evaluation requests & Market Surveys in reviewing new positions and providing salary recommendations
- Leads the promotion and education strategy for benefits and total compensation at H&M
**Compliance**
- Recommends revisions to Human Resources policies, procedures, and forms related to Compensation
- Performs regular audits and analysis of employee compensation to ensure compliance and internal equity across positions
- Completes regular Minimum Wage analysis
- Partner with the HRIS Super User to maintain the data integrity
**Support**
- Support in various Compensation and People analysis-related projects on an as-needed basis with the partnership of the People Insights Manager
- Prepare ad hoc analysis needed for the Country HR Manager and leadership requests
- Participate in the benefits renewal cycles, monitoring for cost
**Qualifications**:
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of business experience in an analytical position; experience in a compensation environment highly desired
- Superior attention to detail with an emphasis on data integrity and data quality
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to visualize and analyze data is required
- Previous experience processing STI and LTI programs highly desired
- Previous experience in Pay Equity analysis highly desired
- Strong proficiency in working with large amounts of data and presenting results
- Adept at partnering/collaborating across HR teams/functions to come up with resolutions
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of self-motivation and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work in a team or independently on assigned projects
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to gather, analyze and organize data using a logical and systematical process
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential material
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to effectively handle numerous tasks simultaneously within time constraints
