BILINGUAL ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, Pathways to Teach Canada

Full-time position, 24-month contract

Current salary range: $51,633-$70,219, depending on experience and qualifications

Work arrangement can be remote, in-person, or hybrid

You will work with government officials, international partners, and colleagues from across the organization and around the country. This position is affiliated with the Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union (COPE) Local 343.

The Administrative Officer’s responsibilities are to:

- Manage the administration aspects of the different services offered;
- Be the primary point of contact for IETs using the services, including responding to daily public inquiries (e.g., website contact form, social media, telephone system);
- Refer requests to the appropriate authorities in Canada (e.g., regulatory bodies for the teaching profession, Pathways to Teach Canada third-party vendors, immigration authorities, other allied organizations);
- Manage the logistics for virtual and in-person meetings and events, including document processing and interpretation;
- Facilitate the work with external consultants and third-party vendors;
- Maintain accurate records and databases;
- Submit, monitor, and verify document translations and copy-editing requests; and
- Other tasks as required.

Key qualifications
- Minimum two to five years’ experience providing administrative support
- Excellent command of English and French with strong writing skills in both languages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across multiple projects and maintain positive working relationships with team members and partners
- Strong organisational and time management skills: prioritizing tasks, projects and processes, managing deadlines, and multitasking efficiently
- Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities
- Highly responsive to requests and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast?paced environment
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office), including the ability to format documents and manipulate spreadsheets and databases
- General knowledge of Canada’s education systems and the teaching profession is desirable
- Demonstrated project?management skills and experience
- Three years’ experience in a fast?paced administrative role
- Experience working in government relations or a professional regulatory body
