**DUTIES**

Trailblazers Life Choices is looking to fill the position of Transportation Coordinator, who, under the direction of the Rural and Residential Manager, will primarily be responsible to ensure all employees comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, and drivers’ hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of participants. This position will oversee staff to ensure work is being performed according to established standards. This role will also maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records that are in compliance with legislative requirements.

OTHER DUTIES:

- Provide employee training, ensuring that all applicable compliance requirements are met
- Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations
- Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly
- Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement
- Administer disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations
- Oversee the planning of logistics of the trip, and ensure appropriate paperwork to passengers is obtained
- Ensure all reported vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to company vehicles is done so in accordance with company policy
- Ensure the maintenance of vehicles is upheld
- Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
- Ensure that timesheets are completed and submitted correctly on a bi-weekly basis
- Handle customer complaints and comments
- Conduct monthly reporting
- Plan and conduct meetings with employees to communicate team targets, goals, and projects

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree or an advanced degree in management, or a field related to the transportation industry
- Three years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in the transportation industry
- Certifications or licenses appropriate to the transportation industry
- Experience with Routing and Scheduling
- Experience/Knowledge of mechanic duties would be an asset
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license is required
- Valid Class 2 driver’s license

**SCHEDULE**
Monday - Friday: 7 am - 4 pm
(80 hour/biweekly) with 1 hour of
unpaid break

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- An applicant who is offered an employment, must provide a current (not older than 3 months) and satisfactory Criminal Records Check (with vulnerable sector search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

- managerial: 3 years (preferred)
- transportation-related industry: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 2 driver’s license? (preferred)
