- Ability to travel frequently to work sites within the province by ground and air transportation.

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Extensive experience managing year-round highway maintenance and preservation operations in a rural and urban environment.
- Experience with asset management tools, including the development and adherence to maintenance standards, activities, and programs.
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of human resource practices.
- Experience in budget administration and financial management.
- Experience in contract administration and management.
- Knowledge of Departmental policies and procedures such as Workplace Safety and Health, Preservation, Maintainance, and Financial areas.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed verbal communication skills.
- Written communication skills.
- Experience with computer software (MMS, CMS), including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Director of Highway Operations, the Regional Maintenance Manager is responsible for the Region’s Highway Maintenance Budget, along with the coordination, management, administration and delivery of the Regional Highway Maintenance Program, and assumes portions of the Preservation Program. The position forms part of the Regional Management Team, contributing to the overall planning, policy, and administrative decisions within the Region.
