Journeyman/woman Plumber/gasfitter

A.K. & Company (Kenora) Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Services Plumber to join our team of professionals. As a Residential Plumber you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in homes and cottages. Your expertise and professionalism will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and comfort of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostics to identify plumbing issues and effectively communicate findings to clients
- Conduct repairs, replacements, and installations of plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, pumps, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and more
- Collaborate with clients to discuss repair and installation options
- Adhere to local plumbing codes and regulations, ensuring all work meets required standards and passes inspections
- Complete work orders, maintain and update records of work performed, including detailing the nature of the issue, actions taken, and materials used
- Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly and effectively, offering solutions to mitigate damage and ensure client safety
- Continuously expand your knowledge of plumbing techniques, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, addressing client concerns, and leaving workspaces clean and organized
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, share expertise, and enhance overall team performance

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing is preferred
- Valid plumbing license/certification in accordance with local regulations
- Solid understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, and reaching
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Apprentices with service experience will also be considered for this position
