The Facilities & Administrative Coordinator position provides administration for the General Corporate Services Unit, which supports the Government of Alberta at Ministries of Health and Mental Health & Addiction.

The unit is responsible for a number of central functions, including:

- facility space planning, facility services, facility maintenance and repair, asset management, building security, parking administration and telecommunications;
- central purchasing, supply and forms management, warehousing, mail, courier and print services;
- development, implementation and maintenance of administrative policies and procedures; and centralized reception.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager, General Corporate Services Unit, the **Facilities & Administrative Coordinator** is responsible for ensuring that administrative and service requirements are met for Health and Mental Health & Addiction employees located in Edmonton, Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Red Deer and a small number of satellite offices throughout the province. The incumbent requires a solid knowledge of facility service functions and related legislation, regulations, policies and procedures in order to carry out the duties and responsibilities associated with this position.

The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and technical expertise for the following services: Building Maintenance and Operations Services, Parking Administration, Security, Small Tenant Improvements, Furniture Services, Telecommunications, Government Fleet Services and PCard Administration.

**Minimum Recruitment Standards**

**High school diploma** and **four (4) years **of progressively responsible related experience is required.

**Equivalency**:
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

**Required experience**:

- Experience in Facilities and Administrative Services
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge in operating general office equipment
- Ability to meet objectives in a professional manner and in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Work Order Tracking System (WORTS) for Tenant Requests for Service
- Knowledge of Online Parking Request and Administration System (OPRA)
- Must be able to work independently as well as contribute effectively in a team environment while maintaining high level of productivity and quality service
- Proficient in MS Office tools. A good working knowledge of Excel, in particular working with financial spreadsheets
