**Who we are looking for**:
Triple Eight Transport Inc. is looking for a **Strong **and **detail oriented,** Accounts Payables clerk. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as solid computer skills, time management, **high attention** to detail and strong organizational skills.

**Responsibilities include**
- Manage the Accounts Payable, Invoices and Vendor Payables functions.
- Completing accounts payable process from receipt of invoices to payment disbursement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare vendor cheques, and coordinate wire and EFT payments both scheduled weekly as well manual urgent needs as requested
- Manage and reconcile the AP-related general ledger accounts (e.g. trade AP, accrued receipts) and identify and resolve variances.
- Ensure current and accurate Standard Operating Procedures exist and are being utilized
- Create, monitor, update, and improve systems, processes, and resources
- Identify opportunities for improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts payable operations
- Drive process to identify and implement automation capabilities over purchase requisitions and payment approval process flows
- Building and maintaining relationships with employees, vendors, internal and external partners
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist with month-end processes and reconciliation processes.
- Posting, coding and reviewing submission of expenses.
- PST and GST Reporting.

- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks, likely with competing priorities
- Ability to regularly interact with staff and management to provide or obtain related information
- Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Strong decision making, communication (both verbal and written), and analytical skills
- An organized self-starter who is able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
- At least 3 years experience in Accounts Payables.

- Minimum of one year of experience in Transportation industry is an asset
- Experience in Great Plains Software is an asset
- Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
