We are in the medical supply distribution business with our office located in St.Laurent, near Ikea. This is an at work, in person, position, Monday through Friday. We primarily sell internationally, so while French is not required, a strong command of English is.
The role is assisting the Production Manager. Some of the key responsibilities are listed below.
- Continually improve processes while ensuring an outstanding customer experience in all that you do.
- Assist when necessary with operational activities and take ownership for maintaining a high standard of the organization.
- Help arrange, negotiate and select domestic and international transportation
- Creating and transacting all shipments to ensure that all shipping paperwork (Bills of Lading, Picking Slips, export documents etc.) is generated on a timely basis, distributed accurately, contains accurate information and is appropriately retained for Custom audit purposes.
- Maintain, grow and strengthen relations with existing vendors as well as evaluate and recommend the onboarding of new vendors.
- Regularly analyze movement of inventory.
- Analyze key accounts as to their activity of movement of products.
- Help to improve profitability through shipping and purchasing.

We require at least 2 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a distribution company.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with superior follow-through.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-savviness to learn Dear inventory management software.

Ability to learn inventory management software.

Salary range: $41,000 - $45,000 (perhaps higher depending on experience).

**Salary**: $41,819.00-$44,140.00 per year

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Saint-Laurent, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 2 years (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
