**EVENTS STAFF (BARTENDERS)**
**Position**:Events Staff (Bartenders)
**Employment Details**:Part-time, Seasonal
**Rate of Pay**:$15.60/hr plus gratuities
**Requirements**:Cover Letter and Resume, minimum of three references, RNC Certificate of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check (required before commencing employment)
**Who can apply**: Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or in receipt of legal refugee status. This position requires handling and serving alcohol - applicants must be at minimum aged 19 years.
**Summary of Position**:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating delicious beverages for our guests. If you have a passion for mixology and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Handle cash and debit/credit transactions and process payments accurately
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role is an asset
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing
- Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Familiarity with food and beverage service and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional time management skills to ensure prompt service
- Strong team player, with a collaborative attitude
