**Summary**:
The Resource Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in Chimo's growth and community engagement initiatives. Responsible for orchestrating social media/marketing, volunteer recruitment/engagement, event planning, and fund development for Chimo programs and services, this role demands dynamism, innovation, and a knack for relationship building. The Coordinator is instrumental in elevating Chimo’s profile and fostering meaningful connections within the community.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Social Media/Marketing:_
- Curate and manage engaging content across all social media channels.
- Adapt marketing strategies in response to community trends.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and marketing plan to enhance Chimo’s community presence.
- Coordinate the design and distribution of impactful marketing materials.
- Volunteer Recruitment/Engagement:_
- Oversee the administration of a robust volunteer list and database.
- Employ industry-standard practices to recruit volunteers.
- Cultivate consistent communication to establish and nurture positive relationships.
- Provide effective volunteer coordination and recognition.
- Event Planning:_
- Prepare compelling materials for special events, donor newsletters, and correspondence.
- Offer essential support in coordinating various events.
- Assist in the recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of support staff dedicated to specific events/projects.
- Fund Development:_
- Contribute to all fundraising activities to meet organizational goals.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders to advance Chimo's mission and fundraising objectives.
- Identify, research, and foster relationships with foundations, corporations, associations, service groups, and individual prospects, leading to face-to-face meetings and successful solicitation of gifts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

- Strong marketing acumen.
- Excellent public relations skills.
- Effective communication capabilities.
- Solid organizational and administrative skills.
- Resourceful and creative thinking.
- Problem-solving acuity.
- Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in training, managing, and motivating volunteers.
- One to three years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records Search is a prerequisite.
- Possession of a vehicle and a valid BC Driver’s License is essential.

**Salary**: $32.79-$37.64 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
