The Student Wellness and Equitable Learning (SWEL) department leverages a collaborative, socio-ecological model for student development and care. The cross-functional team includes Student Connection and Community Care (Office of Student Community Standards, Student Support and Intervention Coordinators), Residence Life and Education, Testing Services, and Student Wellbeing (Accessible Learning and Counselling Services, Wellness Education and Programs, and the Health Centre). The SWEL team offer pan-College services across all Humber College/University of Guelph-Humber campuses.

**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Administrative Manager, SWEL, the SWEL Systems Specialist is responsible for content and process maintenance and access of technology systems within Student Wellness and Equitable Learning, including, but not limited to Clockwork, PS Suites, RegisterBlast, and Advocate.
The SWEL Systems Specialist leads upgrades, new releases, and expansion of modules throughout all systems utilized in the SWEL portfolio. The Specialist will work with central/institutional and local system administrators to ensure optimal systems performance and a quality user experience.
The Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and organizing the delivery of training modules for each of the systems to all relevant user groups including but not limited to staff and faculty across various Schools and Departments, student users, and external users such as health professionals.
The Specialist is responsible for supporting the research, sourcing, and implementation of new technologies with Student Wellness and Equitable Learning, in collaboration with the Manager, Student Systems and Process Integration within Student Success & Engagement.
Key duties:
- **Technology system administration, training, and security**:Coordinate and oversee ongoing administration, upgrades, support for departmental employees, and oversee development of continuous training and documentation; ensure expert level functional system support for all systems used by Student Wellness and Equitable Learning clinical and administrative staff, including departmental systems, and Humber and Guelph-Humber enterprise systems.
- **Coordinate first-tier technical support**:ensure immediate assessment and resolution of computer-related problems in all SWEL venues; ensure ongoing function of 200+ desktops, including associated peripherals; oversee, provide or coordinate technical support for Student Wellness and Equitable Learning meetings and events, both in-person and virtual.
- **User experience and systems reporting**:Maintain service standards in support of users to ensure prompt and accurate response to inquiries and problems arising, and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders; lead the production of systems reports within SWEL, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- **Performs other duties as assigned.**
**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Information Systems Management, or relevant combination of education and experience
**Experience**:
2 years of experience in database systems and analysis with responsibility for support, maintenance, and configuration; Banner, Clockwork, RegisterBlast, and higher education experience preferred
**Skills**:
- Ability to participate in multi-layered project planning and implementation
- Demonstrated attention to technical detail
- Strong technical environment knowledge (e.g. desktop, MS Windows, virtual meeting software and equipment); experience with online/virtual/remote access and problem-solving tools
- High level computer proficiency and efficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows and related software
- Database development, MS-SQL reporting, form design, report development, or similar skills are beneficial
