**Hours of Work: 37.5 hours weekly Annual Salary Range: $65,793.00 - $71,799.00**

**Position Summary**

We are currently recruiting for a **Full-Time Human Resources Manager**, responsible for shared Human Resources functions within Haliburton, Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes. These include an integrated computerized HR/Scheduling/Payroll system, labour relations, health and safety, workplace safety & insurance, training and development, recruiting, benefits administration and supervision of reporting staff. The successful applicant will provide leadership and supervision within the Human Resources and management teams through coaching, mentoring and developing a positive/harmonious team environment. The Human Resources Manager will in partnership, promote the Agency's culture of leadership, quality, learning and innovation.

**Minimum Qualification requirements include**:

- a University Degree in Human Resources Management; and/or a Diploma in Human Resources (other university degrees may be considered if a combination of education and experience provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities);
- a minimum of Five years current full-time Human Resources experience;
- Experience in a unionized environment including labour relations and negotiations processes (a strong knowledge in interpreting and implementing Collective Agreements for unionized team members)
- strong leader with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
- flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment;
- energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude;
- possess discretion, tact and judgement;
- excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Extensive knowledge of labour and employment legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Human Rights Code) as well as WSIB;
- Demonstrated experience with Human Resources and other database systems (Ceridian, Dayforce, AIMS, etc.) and proficient computer skills;
- valid Class G driver's license and own reliable transportation;
**Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)**:

- participation in the supervision of an agency wide integrated Human Resource/Scheduling/Payroll system, which will involve working collaboratively with all departments;
- supporting the ongoing implementation of Human Resources processes for recruitment, succession planning, leadership, employee development, diversity, health and safety, and performance management;
- participation in the development and implementation of strategies to maintain ongoing communication and positive relationships with unions;
- promote and cultivate a positive work environment which motivates and engages employees to optimize employee retention through effective, proactive human resource programs and communications;
- participation in building strong, collaborative relationships across the Agency and with external parties;
- Supervision of appropriate Administration team members;
- serving as a resource providing technical knowledge to management staff on matters related to Human Resources management, i.e., Employment Standards, Ontario Labour Relations, disciplinary action, etc.
