Manager, Business Development and Sales (Halifax, Nova Scotia)

Reporting to the Director, Alternative Lending, the Manager, Business Development and Sales is responsible for proactively leading the successful execution of sales and business development plans to drive revenue and business growth. This position is accountable for creating business development and sales plans; identifying business opportunities and prospects; securing financing arrangements that meet business requirements; and, building and retaining a strong relationship with key referral points, including brokers, banking institutions, legal and accounting firms, contractors and developers.

Attributes:
Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on business, with a minimum of five years of relevant sales and business development experience, including working directly in a financing organization; or, equivalent combination of training and experience in a sales and business development role.
- Exceptional networking and relationship building skills.
- Experience in sales / sales management to close deals and drive revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge in lending and financing.
