Job Summary
As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for all the plant accounting functions including but not limited to, A/P, A/R, G/L, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Cashflow, Budget and Forecasting. We are looking for a motivated hands-on leader who is a critical thinker and an inspirational mentor and coach. This is a pivotal role as it involves working with all levels of the organization as well as external authorities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for all plant accounting functions
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of financial analysis and reports
- Review financial statements with management and executive teams
- Review of corporate taxes
- Preparation of Annual/Semi-Annual budgeting and forecasting activities
- Establish and monitor system controls for audit purposes
- Develop and improve existing systems for all areas of responsibility
- Develop and implement department goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management of the plant
- Coordinate and manage physical inventory activities
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Education/Experience Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree or Accounting designation and (5) years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3- 5 years manufacturing experience (automotive an asset)
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of applicable provincial, federal and local legislation
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (AS400 or PLEX is an asset)
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
