**Reports To: COO**

**Department: Administration**

**Location: 620 Ireland Rd, Simcoe ON, N3Y 4K2**

**Objective**:
The main objective of the Controller is to to assume responsibility for the general ledger, cash-flow and all the related accounting functions as well as oversee the daily running of the Office.

**General Description**:
Westhill Innovation is a leading designer and supplier of environmentally sustainable solar electro-mobility solutions for the Commercial and Recreational Transportation Industries. We are seeking a Financial Controller to assume responsibility for the general ledger and all the related accounting functions as well as office administration. Other responsibilities will include issuance of financial reports, human resourcing, payroll, costing, equipment inventory, and client interfacing. The applicant will be interacting with coworkers and clients daily. He/she should be detailed oriented and possess strong communication skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- management of accounts payable.
- management of accounts receivable, including the invoicing and collection process.
- involved in the expense reports process.
- monthly closing and related reconciliations.
- processing payroll through external electronic payroll system.
- year-end closing procedures coordinated with external accountant.
- provide administrative assistance in all aspects of the day-to-day business operations and for the simultaneous execution of accounting required for multiple ongoing projects.
- strict, meticulous, and up to date maintenance of electronic and hard copy filing systems.

Office administration

May be asked from time-to-,time to assist in the creating of documents and standards as the business grows.
- maintain professional communications with clients, employees, professionals, suppliers, and subcontractors

Private and Public company experience is an asset

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Organizational and planning

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 to 10 years in accounting and administration
- Strong knowledge of Sage 50
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent Accounting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Preferred Business Degree, CPA, or equivalent working experience
