We are looking for a Quality Control and Assurance Manager for our Simcoe and Grey-Bruce locations.

**_ Quality Control and Assurance Manager_**

**Major **(Primary) Responsibilities**:

- Manage quality operations and internal controls including processes, equipment, systems, data, policies and procedures.
- Enable QC department to maintain accurate testing and reporting of results, as per specifications and standards, providing acceptance requirements in a time sensitive manner for use to analyze, adjust and communicate for production of aggregates, hot mix and construction.
- Ensure contract quality specifications are adhered to regarding supplied products, materials and methods.
- Establish an effective open line of communication/reporting with production plant operators to provide quality control results and direction for supplying quality material as per specifications/contract documents.
- Coordinate, prepare and provide owner required submittals and responses for aggregate and hot-mix materials, related to quality control, as designated in contract documents.
- Attend pre-construction meetings to obtain information required regarding aggregate and hot mix materials in addition to testing requirements.
- Implement and maintain a successful quality control field-technician service for construction regarding testing of aggregate and hot-mix materials on site.
- Provide direction to managerial staff regarding production, design and construction changes to improve the quality of materials produced.
- Ensure the use of a living-document of End Result Specification for MTO contracts while analyzing material test results and suggesting adjustments to ensure quality product that meets contract requirements limiting penalties as well as invoke referee testing as required.
- Perform regular site visits to inspect materials to ensure quality and acceptance of materials and final products.
- Advise on risk to the organization through analysis of QC information, trends, changes in deposits and potential operational changes.
- Interact and promote efficient teamwork regarding QC strategies, best practices, savings opportunities, health and safety policies and efficiencies.
- Join industry associations to stay informed on new practices, changes in the industry and help guide applicable government relation committees.
- Recruit and develop technical staff within the department and provide professional growth and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with the other Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for their designated region (Simcoe/Grey Bruce or Niagara and Essex) to ensure consistency within the AGGCON group.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and capital spending by monitoring monthly cost statements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

**Skills**:

***Education & Job Knowledge**:
Three (3) year college diploma (CET)

**Experience**:Greater than five years aggregate and hot mix quality control in laboratory and field testing with supervisory experience, including MTO contracts.
