This position is located at our Oakville head office but will require substantial time and on-site presence at the Niagara Hydrogen Centre (Niagara Falls, ON) and the Halton Hills Generating Station (Milton, ON).

**General Information**

Reporting to the Manager, Hydrogen Projects, the Commissioning & Integration Manager will work jointly and collaborate with Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Contractors, External Engineering Consultants, and Operations & Maintenance personnel to coordinate and execute the commissioning and integration of the Niagara Hydrogen Centre and the Halton Hills Hydrogen Blending projects into Atura Power’s broader Operation’s group.

This position requires significant Operations and practical technical knowledge of industrial facilities and the associated equipment, systems, and safe operations practices.

**Responsibilities**

In addition to having overall responsibility for the safe and efficient commissioning and integration of the Niagara Hydrogen Centre and Halton Hills Hydrogen Blending projects, the Commissioning & Integration Manager will:

- Collaborate with Atura Power’s external Commissioning Specialist to support development of an appropriately scaled and detailed commissioning plan to safely and effectively commission Niagara Hydrogen Centre, including:

- Component and system verifications,
- Instrument and equipment loop checks
- System walkdowns and signoff
- Formal turnover to Operations
- Lead the development of a digital solution for commissioning and integration for Atura Power Major Projects
- On-site Atura Power lead for commissioning activities, supporting external consultants, project team and equipment OEM Technical Field Advisors; responsible for closeout of all commissioning plans and documentation.
- Support developing and preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all processes and equipment.
- Support the development and IT rollout of an appropriate lock-out, tag-out and equipment isolation strategy for Niagara Hydrogen Centre.
- Support developing a top-down asset hierarchy in Maximo, incorporating initial maintenance program activities and regulatory compliance activities.
- Support developing a start-up and capital spares and overall inventory strategy.
- Develop appropriate warehousing approach (space, shelving, access requirements, etc.) barcoding, and inventory buildout in Maximo.
- Responsible for reporting on commissioning and integration activities to senior management
- Support development of an Industrial Maintenance Technician training program with a TSSA authorized training provider for all maintenance staff who will support Niagara Hydrogen Centre and/or Halton Hills Blending.
- Coordinate facility licensing and staffing requirements, consistent with Operating Engineers Ontario Regulation (O.Reg 219/01).
- Ensure all necessary Information Technology integration within Atura Power is procured, integrated, and commissioned (including SCADA, wireless network, access control system, etc.)
- Ensure appropriate Operations and Maintenance-focused personnel protection equipment is defined and available on-site (including provision for arc flash, sound levels, etc.)
- During construction and commissioning, directly manage Maintenance or Operations staff in support of effective handover to Operations.

**Qualifications**
- A safety-first mentality with a willingness to learn and lead on hydrogen safety best practices.
- A strong understanding of industrial process facilities, including hydrogen, water treatment, compressors, gas handling, calibration, equipment testing, etc.
- Thrive in an environment that requires you to split your focus between competing priorities.
- Detail oriented with good organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide and present timely and relevant feedback and or reporting to various stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong analytical, reporting, conflict resolution, problem solving and facilitation skills.
- Experience in MS Office Suite and SharePoint
- Willingness to work extended hours, as required, based on operational and business requirements, especially during commissioning activities.
